Dear customer,

On-line shopping at the CU Faculty of Arts e-shop is governed by the Purchasing Terms and Complaints Procedure presented below. By sending your personal data on registration, or by supplementing and changing this data, you confirm your consent to the processing of your personal data. The text of the consent is provided below.


Registration and Log In

To send an order it is first of all necessary to log in/register.

Fill in the Web Registration Form. Your user name is the e-mail to which the notice of confirmation of registration will be sent. To register a company it is necessary to fill in the address, the name of contact person and other details.


CU FA Students and Employees

Students and CU FA employees log into the on-line shop with their user name and password valid for university applications. There is no need to register with the on-line shop; it is sufficient to supplement the contact details. On-line shop news will be delivered to your CAS (CU Central Authentication Service) email address.


Ordering and purchasing

Choose the item you would like to buy and put it into the cart by clicking on BUY. You can return to the previous page by clicking on CONTINUE TO BUY.

Once you have all the items you want in the cart, click on ORDER. Choose the manner of delivery, manner of payment, fill in the delivery address if different from the billing address and, if you want to send us a message, fill in the order comment form.

Confirmation of the receipt of your order will be sent to the email address you have provided.

While logged in to the e-shop you can follow the status of your order. As long as the order has the “request”statuts, it can still be cancelled.

CU FA students and employees get a 15% discount on purchases of goods from the e-shop compared to common prices; all other users receive a 10% discount.  

The price inclusive of the basic 10% discount is displayed when non-registered users log in. The price inclusive of the 15% discount is displayed when a CU FA student or employee logs in.



  • By bank transfer (prepaid). The delivery time ostarts n the date when the payment is credited to our account.

  • By payment card. We accept Visa, Visa Electron, Eurocard/Mastercard and Maestro. This is the fastest manner of payment; immediately after the execution of the payment, the order is flagged in our system as having been reimbursed. The payment is executed via GP Webpay, the secure payment gateway. The payment goes through without our knowing the number of your payment card.

  • In cash. Only when purchased goods are collected from the outlet.

  • By invoice. Following prior agreement, we send the goods to public institutions, especially schools and libraries together with an invoice with payment due within the standard 14 days (enter the name, the Identification Number of your organisation (IČO) and your Value Added Tax (VAT) Identification Number on registration).


Delivery of goods

Goods ordered via the online shop can be collected physically, i.e. also paid for in cash, from the Jan Palach Library (Jan Palach Library, CU FA, basement of the building at nám. Jana Palacha 2, Prague 1) during the library opening hours, or the goods can be sent through Czech Post to the address you have provided. Choose the manner of delivery on the ordering form.

If ordered goods are to be collected in person, the Buyer will have his/her order confirmed by email. The email will contain a list of items that will be ready to be collected. The goods will be reserved for 14 calendar days from the receipt of the order, after which any uncollected order will be automatically cancelled (with the exception of cases when the goods has already been paid for).

Only cash payments, not payment cards, are accepted at the library outlet. When collecting reimbursed goods from the library outlet, the Buyer must present an ID document or another official document giving his name, surname and recent photograph

If you choose to have the goods delivered to the address you have provided, you will receive an email informing you about the dispatch of the parcel and containing a list of ordered items. The ordered goods will be sent via Czech Post to the address entered by the customer in the order, either to be paid on delivery or, if prepaid, after the amount is credited to the CU FA account.

We add postage to the price of the goods according to the current Czech Post price list.  Postage is charged for every dispatched parcel. The postage amount will appear on the order form. There is no packing charge.


Returning goods and claims

The terms and procedure for returning goods are governed by the Purchasing Terms. The procedure for lodging complaints is governed by the Complaints Procedure.
